Claiming Prescriptions

Each prescription dispensed to a patient must be sent to the NHS Businsess Services Authority for remuneration and reimbursement. This can be completed electronically via the NHS Spine.

Note - We recommend that prescription claims are submitted to the NHS Spine on a regular basis to avoid missing out on payment.
  1. From the Pharmacy Manager Side Navigation Bar select eMessages . The eMessages screen displays.
  2. Select the Requires Claiming filter.

  1. Selct the required prescription and select Claim .

Training Tip - To claim for multiple prescriptions, hold CTRL, select each prescription and select Claim.
  1. The claimed prescription clears from the screen and is sent to the NHS BSA.
